It's so nice to be back!
Where have you been? - I hear you say.
Just here under a mountain of boxes!
We moved the last remnants from our old house a fortnight ago so, now I have the wonderful job of sorting books, fabrics etc into my long awaited storage. That sound easy peasy but you know what it's like trying to get a quart into a pint pot (sorry for those who only use metric! )
My happy little assistant, Maxine, has spent days helping to clear out and reorganise all our crafty goodies - I say "our" because lots of it is shared between us and I needed her to decide what we keep and where we store it so we both know where things are. (Good excuse I think!)
I think she is going to blog some of the chaos we caused and the neatness we created on her Tilly Tea Dance blog.
In between times I have been crafting away at an advent tree for Ben to put all his little felties on each day.
This is what it will look like by Christmas Day......
Today he chose the little parcel to velcro onto the empty tree and we hid all the other ones in a shiny box along with a few chocolate buttons. I think he will enjoy using this for a year or two don't you?
Well that's it for this week - got to dash - more sorting to be done.
I will try and get round a few WOYWW desks to make up for missing out over the last fortnight.
See you soon.
x Jo

Fab advent tree Jo. I'm sure Ben will love it. Good luck with the sorting.
Hugs,

Now that is a lovely advent tree and I think you will get more than a few years out of it. My twenty year old was looking for the chocolate advent calendar on the 1st!! I really thought she was too old but, apparently not.

That is one fabulous advent tree - I'm sure it will be well loved and well used over the years! Good luck with all your sorting, you'll feel great when it's done!
Hope you have a great week,

Wish I had someone I could make an advent tree for that one is delightful - maybe I'll make one just for myself next year x Jackie #18
Thanks for the visit. Glad to hear you too are making head way on boxes. I've quit with the rubbermaids for this season. But made a LOT of ORGANIZATIONAL changes. I think little Ben will truly enjoy this cute tree. We are enjoying a soft snowfall..but it won't last to be in the 40's this week, which is great as I need to finish up shopping in the city. Enjoy a wonderful WOYWW kind of day.
how sweet, with even his name on the pot. Vicky(#1)
What a great idea! A bit like an advent calendar but putting stuff on rather than taking it out. Lucky little Ben.
I will be looking at Tilly Yea Dance shortly so i can see what you have been up to.
Have a good week,

That is a really great idea for the counting down the days until Christmas. I love all the little felt ornamants. When I boys were younger we did little packages each day with a tiny car or a piece of candy.Happy WOYWW! PaperOcotilloStudio #37
Hi Jo, I can imagine the chaos all the sorting caused. And I'm with you on Pints and Quarts, lol. Love the tree for Ben, thats an awesome idea.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #4 xxx
Awe how cute your advent tree is I'm sure Ben will have a lot of fun putting it al together.
When he's older I'm sure he'll still be putting it up to enjoy... secretly lol. I get you with the pint and quarts even though we are on metric lol hugs Nikki 9

I've missed you! No one can make such apparently 'innocent' comments but I know the real meaning! You're fab :-)
I'm glad you're getting to the end of the sorting, what a mammoth task.....glad Maxine could help you out.
And that tree is FANTASTIC!!
Hugs, LLJ 7 xx
Fabulous advent tree, Jo. I do think Ben is going to love it. As I still think in 'old money', I know exactly what you mean - been through similar myself recently but I think it will help that Maxine also knows where everything has been stowed. Have a great week sorting the rest out. Hugs, Elizabeth x #41
What a wonderful advent tree you have made for Ben. He is a lucky young man.
Great news about the move, I do hope you will be very very happy in your new home.
Hugs and thanks for visiting me - A Very Late Neet xx
