My hen pheasant has started to incubate her clutch of at least a dozen eggs.
According to my internet research I should have tiny pheasant chicks
running round my front garden 23 days after she started sitting.

Oh, how exciting is that - and what could be more lovely than seeing little chicks in your garden. Elizabeth xx
Oooh! A definite smile! I know you'll keep us posted! Chrisx
Oooooh, how exciting Jo! I can just see the Snippets Playground girls asking for a field trip to be arranged when the little ones hatch!
Hugs, Di xx
Hope she doesn't need a babysitter. Think that would push us over our numbers :-)

Wonderful! I will watch this space.
We've had a hen bird laying just outside the door...but we also have dog with a keen nose. Dog grabbed bird - fortunately she escaped but minus er tail feathers. I doubt she will be back.....but then pheasants aren't known for their brains are they?
So cool! Feathered babies! :)
How wonderful ...cant wait to see them running around. xx
a dozen...wow... poor Momma pheasant!!
Sounds like you might be in for some chick sitting duties. Hugs Mrs A.
