I have had a busy day or two making a few Christmas cards.
Now, as you know, I am not really a card maker. I love textiles and find it really difficult to work with paper and card.
So.....
All my cards are designed with mostly fabric, lace, ribbons and stitching.
The old Cuttlebug came in handy for cutting fabric flowers (Thanks to Crafty Dawn). Annie and I both used it on funday Monday. I just hope she has time to make a few cards with the lovely flowers she cut out. (Life is very busy for her at the mo).
The other other idea I had was to create a Victorian robin
design using a transfer print on linen
of one of my little dumfed robin pics.
I was quite pleased with the result.

My table looks quite pretty doesn't it!
Just don't look at the window sill, shelves and under the table! I am such a messy worker. At one stage I had every unit in the kitchen covered too! There is so much stuff needed - guillotine, Cuttlebug, iron, sewing machines, card, glue, lace, buttons........... Now I know why I don't make too many cards!

See the whole point of you being a fabric person means you make even more interesting cards than most of us - tad underselling going on me thinks, they all look fab as far as I can see. I always regard it as an especially good crafty session when every available surface has been covered - shame we have to tidy away ;)

Put like that, I do see why you think cardmaking is not for you - we do seem to use an awful lot of materials. However, your cards are lovely and the one with the robin is quite vintage looking - I love the idea of using fabric and lace to produce vintage style projects. Elizabeth x #78

We all enjoyed Pricilla last week. The show is so flamboyant and colourful and the music has you singing along….you can’t help yourself. It's well worth going to see if you get the chance.

Don't sell yourself short Jo, lovely cards, made all the more interesting by the fabric and lace. When we were in England in September we visited Broadwindsor Craft Centre in Dorset and a lady there was doing needle felting among other things. SHe was taking good quality but plain wool coats and jackets and neddlefelting the most amazing designs on them! I tried one on but she had nothing in my size. My husband spent ages talking to her and still goes on about the technique, I think he'd like to give it a go!

Your robin card is very cozy (if that makes sense). I am the opposite of you -- if it's paper, bring it on, but fabric? sewing? Foreign concepts. lol :)
