My little "nurse mates" are now social distancing with NHS workers on my estate. They loved them and they certainly raised a smile. I am making more because the children walking past my window used to like to look at them and spot each new one and count them. It's and easy pattern that I found here... https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/nurse-mates
I saw Caro's post on FB - she had been out and about with Alex and some stick on goggle eyes and her camera. So Caro - here's my attempt. I stuck them in a little book for Ben and gave him some "eyes" so that he could do the same. Thanks for the idea.
My sewing room has had quite a lot of action - masks and headbands for NHS and I have just finished off and packed, 12 twiddlers ready for the hospital. Here are a few of them..
Never a dull moment. I just wish I could be of more use to Max and Ben but I guess I just have to be patient.
So, that's it for this week.
Stay safe and keep well.

WOYWW
Well this week the lovely daughter Maxine has a big birthday!
Now where did those years go?
I spent a few happy hours looking through my box of family photos and made her an album from birth to today. She was thrilled with it. I'm afraid there were no arty LOs - just photos with a little caption but I have to agree it was a lovely thing for her to keep.
Of course, being in lockdown, I couldn't trawl the shops for lovely treats so she had to make do with chocs, champagne and a few home made treats.
I thought she might like one of these to use when she is crafting in her lounge. (She already has one in her craft room)

It's a really handy little bin for collecting threads and scraps. I have made a few over the years. Jo of Jozarty designed and shared the pattern years ago and I do think of her when I'm making them.
I also made Max and family some face masks just in case we are told to wear them in the near future. I forgot to take a photo but I guess by now everyone knows what they look like! Mine are just made in fancy fabrics. I hear little sis is making one or two as well๐๐
You might have seen FB videos of my lovely girl. She is trying to keep folks interested in her work by doing a "Giveaway" and some mini demos of needle felting etc. Check out Tilly Tea Dance on Facebook if you are interested.
Lastly, I thought I would share the beautiful flowers that elderly friends sent for our anniversary last week.
So, that's it for this week.
I hope you are all managing to keep safe and well.
I guess we will be on lockdown for a few more weeks yet - more time for crafting!!

Thank you for all your lovely comments about me in my pink tutu last week!!!
This week I have been mostly making scrubs hats and washing bags for the hospital. I couldn't resist putting one on to take a snap.
I made about 20 all together. The surgical forceps come in handy for turning the ties and poking the corners out - an appropriate tool for the job I think!
Below is the little rainbow badge that I created to stitch on to each bag.
I hope it brings a smile to each recipient - they need that at the moment.
Here's hoping that Ellie is feeling better and that hubby Alan is on the mend too. Sending our love from down here in Shropshire.
I hope you are all well and keeping safe.

WOYWW
Here we are again, happy as can be, all good friends and jolly good company!
Another lockdown week and another Wednesday when this cheerful group of bloggers get together to celebrate WOYWW and let the world see what we have been up to at our crafty work desks.
Well - I never thought I would be using my machine to make face masks but this is indeed what I made this week. One of my friends has to make hospital visits in the next few weeks and is frightened of taking home the virus to her family. So she asked if I could make a couple of masks for her.
I made three - a little one for her 3 year old to "play" with (Just so that she is used to the idea of folks around her wearing masks) and two adult sized ones for Mum.
I am sure good hand washing and distancing does the most good but a mask worn for a short while, inside the hospital, is probably not a bad idea.
Some of you might have seen my "Farming" themed twiddler on Facebook but I thought I would post the initial piece of knitting that formed the base for the front of the mitt.
Then, once I completed the inside, I joined it together and decorated it.....
I think it will be an interesting little twiddler for someone to use don't you?
AND FINALLY!
Jan said I was to share this with you all.....
I jokingly said that I would be taking up ballet for my daily exercise but I needed to find my tutu.
Well here I am, all dressed up and ready to go!
I hope you are all managing to make the most of crafty time at home and if possible can get out for a bit of exercise too. The weather has been so lovely. I saw little bats flitting round our house yesterday evening and I am looking forward to seeing my first swallow.
Well that's it for this week.
Keep well and keep safe.
Best wishes to Ellie and Alan too.

Look at the gorgeous colours of this random dyed felt that arrived in the post today.
Tilly uses it for her little sheep brooches and she will be thrilled that we have new stock.
Also, it's a little job that I can do for her - I will cut out the circles and backing pieces ready for her to add the tiny embroidered flowers and needle felted sheep.
This is me and my positive thinking - let's hope she still has a business when life returns to normal.
I have been keeping myself busy - this week I have written two little books for Ben.
"Rick the Robot" and "Ben meets a little alien" both have Lego model characters made by his Grandad.
I photographed them getting up to mischief around the garden. The text is just about at Ben's level so that he can read them himself. All good fun!

Our WOYWW buddies need us more than ever at the moment - we seem to share all the things we love, funnies to make us smile and happy moments. How grateful we are to Julia for managing to keep us up and running for nearly 11years! We will not be defeated!!
Take care all and keep safe.
