All change!
I decided to move my craft table away from the window - Partly to make more room for extra crafters (You know who you are!!) and also, at this time of year it is almost too bright in front of the window and we suffer from glare as we craft on a sunny afternoon.
So this was me yesterday....
I was sorting out some ideas for needle felting (dumfing) and had a few of my books out looking for inspiration.
And this is me today....
Table turned through 90% and a little bit tidier!
On the end is a little hoodie that I have just finished knitting.
Ben has lots of little girl friends who will soon need 1st birthday presents. All the mums seem to like hand knitties, so I have been busy.
Lastly, as I sorted out all my bits and bobs, I found my lovely ATCs waiting for a book to keep them in.
This lovely ATC and clever little envelopes came from Robyn (Rainbowweaves blog). It was at my old house waiting for me. I love all the stamps from around the globe - so appropriate for a WOYWW swap!
Thanks Robyn.
That's it for this week.
Have a great week but take care in the heat wave.
I hope our blog buddie Julia has enjoyed her hols - pop over and join our blog hop on her Stamping Ground blog spot!

The sewing room is looking good Jo....certainly better than mine lol I love the colours of that little hoodie as I'm sure some little girl will too.

Great colors in the little hoodie. Cute idea for the ATC too. Sounds like everyone there is enduring hot. The Canada smoke is leaving..the wind is now in the East and taking it to our Western states I guess. Cool for our Holiday coming up which is great by me. No big thing with our family this year, my kids are staying close to home, just too much traffic etc. Enjoy a great week
ReplyDeleteYep, I take up a lot of space!! Lol :-). I'm really looking forward to our day together. That hoodie is so sweet, many little girls will love that design :-)

Your new arrangement looks so nice and neat and just right for the amount of sunlight! Since I moved back into my big desk against the wall, I don't get as much sunlight as when I had the table right by the window, but I still like it better--I'm just going to have to save up for another Ott lamp! Hugs! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #46
ReplyDeleteI like the way the table was turned. It looks very neat. I also like that little hoodie. Had to laugh that Ben, only being a year old, already has girlfriends! Happy WOYWW from # 3.
ReplyDeleteSo now I know what dumfing is. They say you learn something new every day - thank you! The little striped cardigan is adorable. Barb xx #36
ReplyDeletethat hoodie is just darling and the atc's are way cool with the stamps on them :) ~Stacy #51
ReplyDeleteLovely knitting Jo, and what a lovely thing to find at your other house (which one is your summer residence? LOL). You can sit in your new garden area and dream about the places on those stamps.

what cute knitting! have great fun with your visitors (I wonder who they are!!) Helen 8
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute hoodie!I also like the little 'bin' thats hanging there (that what i think it is...)
ReplyDeleteThe ATCs are gorgeous. Using stamps is an idea I have also played with as I have so many stamps and nobody seems to collect them nowadays.
I must say your table arrangement looks very successful. You still get light but not in your face.
Have a great week,

Love the hoodie. Table looks good in that position. Anne x #31
ReplyDeleteHi Jo, I too am having a problem with window glare as the afternoon moves on and have papers pegged to my curtain in strategic spots to block it out. Gorgeous hoodie, you're a lovely knitter. Enjoy your week and new desk location, Cheers RobynO#28
ReplyDeleteOh , you are most welcome! I felt the same as I sent out the stamps! I'm still trying to recover from my move, creatively and don't even have a lamp to hang a shade on!
ReplyDeleteI love the ATC you send me and it is hanging in my cluttered livingspace/studio for all to see.
