I have just finished a little set of dumfling cards for a friend's birthday gift....
They made me smile so I hope they do the same for you too!
If you want more smiles and even a giggle or two then pop over to Annie's "A stitch in time" blog.
Have a great weekend.

WOYWW
Here is my tidiest bit of my work table!
Just a few bits and bobs left over from Maxine's crafty activity yesterday.
She is making a beautiful quiet book for Ben so I have him for a couple of hours "playtime" while she beetles away on my table. She will probably get round to doing a WOYWW one day!!!
Below you can see Ben enjoying the colour book I made for him last week. (See posts below)
He loves all the pages and studies each bit intently - I think his favourite of the moment was the ladybird hiding under a flap.
Hope you are all well and enjoying this gorgeous weather.
We had a little visitor this week but I am sure they will be posting pics and telling you all about it.
Have a great week.

Happy dinosaur smiles!
My finished "rainbow colours" book for Ben.
It's bright and cheery and certainly made me smile.
It took ages to complete so definitely a labour of love!
Here are the inside pages complete with little pockets and flaps to explore.
I hope he likes it .
I certainly enjoyed making it.

WOYWW
Another week - another Wednesday when we all get together to show our work desks to all and sundry!
I have had a lovely week of crafty activity.
I finished the Hungry caterpillar tray cover for Ben's high chair. It looks Ok and he loves his "puff" caterpillar that I made for him.(I took a photo to show you but it's on my phone and I can't download it at the moment - will try next time.)
I had a mad half hour and made a peg bag - see post below.
Then Maxine and I saw decided a colour themed quiet book would be fun.
So I made 6 colour pages with patchwork and collage.
I think Ben will enjoy lifting the flaps and tucking the little toys in the corner pockets.
And last but not least thanks to Sylvia, Sandra de and Robyn O. for these fab ATCs.
We have received so many beauties this year!
That's it for this week.
See you next week.

Friday smile - my mad half hour
Good morning all!
I was just pegging out my washing (yes, I am an old fashioned girl who likes to peg out and doesn't own a tumble drier)
Its a lovely warm breezy day so why not!
So - my pegs were in a plastic bag and I decided it was high time I made a new peg bag for them.
I nipped up to my sewing room pulled out a remnant of my grey pound shop bargain ( H & M Home curtains - pure cotton, grey check and used for all sorts of little crafty projects over the years). I added a scrap left over from my kitchen blind.
Half an hour later and voila - my new peg bag!
It almost looks too nice for a peg bag.
BUT - its strong and practial AND matches my kitchen - perfect!
I was chuckling to myself as I made it.
Our Grandma (who lived to be 100) was a wonderful seamstress and we inherit her genes I guess.
This week Annie posted pictures of little Lexi sewing her dolly.
Yesterday Maxine was busy making a gorgeous little book for Ben.
How Grandma would have loved to see the talent still running through her family.
She loved to see what we youngsters were up to. I even made several dresses for her when she was in her nineties and I was a textile craft student.
Lovely memories of a wonderful lady.
Have a great weekend all and if you want a few more smiles hop over to Annie's "A stitch in time" blog.

WOYWW
It's Wednesday!
Where has this week gone!!
I am a bit late posting - yes OK I forgot it was Wednesday!
My table is a bit cluttered with the left overs from a crafty day yesterday when Maxine came round with Ben.
She is making a quiet book for him and likes to dip into my fabric/thread stash.
I am making a high chair tray cover - with a Hungry Caterpillar theme.
It will have lots of "activities" hooked onto it that he can enjoy while he is waiting for his mum to get his tea ready.
Hope you are all enjoying a bit of Summer sunshine.
It's been lovely here - if a bit breezy at times.
Have a great week.
Join in with our WOYWW blog hop over at Julia's Stamping Ground.
I have two more lovely ATCs to put on my blog this week but they will have to wait until later.
Thanks lots to Sylvia and Robyn J.

Friday smile - favourite places
It is the Dingle in the Quarry and owes a lot to Percy Thrower who was Head gardener there for years.
It has some lovely sculptures including this metalwork heron.
The memorial garden has a life like ironwork "War horse".
The shrubs and planting look good all year round.
I guess they will soon be getting it ready for the Shrewsbury Flower Show which has this wonderful setting in August.
Have a great weekend and enjoy a few more smiles over on Annie's Friday smile.

WOYWW - so many lovely ATCs
Yes - just look at them all!
Each made with such care, expressing a little bit about each crafter who made them.
Some came with pretty envelopes, some with cards and tags and of course Annie's came with a clever little poem too. It summed up exactly what our WOYWW link ups mean to us. Clever Annie!
My photo collage doesn't do them justice but I really love receiving them and now need to make a little album to pop them into - I made a lovely white lace/embroidered crazy quilt covered book last year so I must think of something just as lovely for this year's ATCs.
Thank you to all our brilliant WOYWWer buddies who sent them. I hope you have all received one from me in return by now.
Below is the latest bit of crafty activity - hot off the work desk.
I am making a few Hungry Caterpillar items for Ben and this is my yo yo puff caterpillar.
We all love Eric Carle's book don't we.
Yo yo puffs are an easy way to create a caterpillar and a great way to use up plate-sized scraps from my stash.
Short and sweet this week - must show you my actual desk next week!
Have a great week.
