Happy New Year everyone!
I hope you all had a lovely festive season and can now look forward to a happy and healthy 2024.
I must admit that my sewing room hasn't really seen any crafty action.
I thought I would share one of my Christmas gifts with you. I love the soft patchwork colours of this gorgeous scarf given to me by one of my Yorkshire friends. They know how to keep cosy up there.😀
Annie was here at the weekend and we were thinking what we can do by way of crafty activity in the New Year. I had so enjoyed my fabric wreath making that I thought I might make a Spring version. I also thought I should use up some of my wool stash and make some Spring Twiddle mitts. I've made a start on a rainbow one🌈
What ideas do you have for your next crafty project?
I hope you call back and see what I get up to in the coming weeks
Happy crafting!
x x Jo
Happy New Year Jo, hope 2024 is kind to you. Well done for already planning crafty tasks! the rainbow twiddle mitt will be bright and cheerful in this dull January! Helen #3
ReplyDeleteIt’s good to have a crafty plan! I think seasonal variations of the wreath would be lovely (can imagine an autumnal one already!) and more twiddlers is just a lovely thing to do! I’ve been using up wool scraps to make granny squares, it’s been satisfying! That scarf is gorgeous, what beautiful colours, great prezzy from your friend!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2024 and WOYWW!

Hi Jo a plan sounds like a good idea, just need to get my head round that soon. Better go as we have some travelling to do this morning, going to a funneral but he's had a long happy life so not so sad. Wishing you a very happy woyww new year. Hugs, Angela x11x
ReplyDeleteI do love rainbow colours Jo so that twiddle mitt is right up my street. A quick visit this week due to new windows being installed (and of course it has started raining). Stay safe and Happy WOWYW. Sarah #14
ReplyDeleteI love the scarf....that will keep you warm. I've been doing a bit of searching Pinterest for ideas but that is as far as I've got yet.

Well, I've signed up for four workshops - one a month so hope that answers your query.

Happy New Year to you and yours, Neet xx 4
Love the rainbow colours for your latest twiddler. I seem to have too many projects at the moment, all put on hold so I can do my weekly blog hop. Hugs BJ#12
ReplyDeleteI sign up for so many different things. Sometimes they are not what I thought and they get dropped, sometimes they goon the to be completer at some time list, but I hope to get quite a few done this year. Love your new scarf. Happy New Year Angela #18
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYour scarf is beautiful!
It is nice to have a crafty plan for the year. My crafty plan is to use all of the fantasy stamps I purchased that have languished in my stash! Also trying to learn how to watercolor. That is not going well!
Looking forward to seeing your knitted projects!

I'm having trouble posting comments so weird and frustrating. LOVE that colourful scarf Jo and the swim was indeed beautiful. I dived under several waves for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, and may God bless you and keep you and all whom you love safe and well for 2024!

Happy New Year to you! Am very impressed that you've been sketching up a plan of crafty action, that will certainly point you in the right direction, are you going to be like my friend Laura - She keeps a beautiful notebook and lists every make in different sections, it's a joy to behold and at the end of the year she shocked herself by totalling everything, she's sew, cooks, scrapbooks...and was immensely productive!
ReplyDeleteI'm still recovering from all the Christmas crafting at the moment. When I have caught my breath I will start thinking about crafty ideas for the next few months. Lovely bright colours for your lates twiddler.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2024, Jo x
