WOYWW

Well, that week just flew by didn't it?

We seem to spend so much time planning and preparing for it and then it's gone before you know it

We had a lovely Christmas day with the family and enjoyed a delicious lunch cooked by them both. We are blessed to have happy times together and really, that's all that matters.

Before the season passes I am sharing this...

I saw this Christmas duvet set and couldn't resist it.  I thought it was nice enough to use at any time really. It looks bright and cheery but have to say the quality of the fabric is poor, making it quite stiff and harsh- consequently I felt as if I had been exfoliated during the night! ( Now then LLJ!)

The fabric wreaths that I made as gifts went down well....

I used a small wreath frame and they seemed perfect to use as a table centre or to brighten up a small wall somewhere.

So, here's to another year of crafty activity.

Our next WOYWW show and tell will be in 2024!

Best wishes to you all.

x x Jo

  1. Hello Jo, happy Christmas to you. the duvet set looks beautiful, I hope the stiffness wears off soon.... it would be a shame if it puts you off using it much. The wreaths are lovely too. Happy WOYWW Helen #8

  2. I love the pattern on the duvet set - what a shame it is so stiff, I wonder if several washings will soften it up a bit - lots of fabric conditioner I guess will go in the washer.
    Love the garlands.
    Happy New Year to you

  5. We all need a good exfoliation now and again…!! It’s such a lovely print but what a shame about the quality, fingers crossed that a few washings will sort it out. Those mini wreaths are gorgeous, I’m not surprised the recipients loved them, I’ve really enjoyed seeing mine up in the hallway. The week has whizzed by, I forgot to write my blog because I’m so out with the days, had to cobble one together on the ipad this morning which is why it’s all over the place, lol!! I’m glad you had a good time with your family, it’s been brilliant with my boys - how lucky are we?
Happy New Year, wishing you health, happiness and crafty fun in 2024!

  7. Shame about the quilt cover, but it is very pretty -a double dose of fabric softener perhaps? Love your Christmas wreaths. Happy New Year and happy WOYWW. Angela #1

  9. I adore the little fabric wreaths, so pretty, could have done with one on my table! Know what you mean about quilt fabrics, some are so scratchy, maybe some washing will help easy the stiffness. I usually put bedding on a hot wash but not so sure with a dark one???? Love the design though pomegranates and robins, jolly unusual, let Jan near it and it would turn into bags and the like LOL. 11. Hi Jo, I think you'll find that the stiffness in the fabric will go when it's been washed a couple of times as it's most likely a finish that was aplied to the fabric but it looks lovely. Pleased to hear you had a nice Christmas too. I'll tell you more about the purple bag next week. Sending Christmas woyww hugs, Angela x11x

  12. After you've used the quilt cover a bit and it's been washed, it will be softer, it really is too pretty for one time a year. It would brighten a few January days.
Have a great New Year, I'll probably still be here . . . lucky me!

  13. Love the duvet cover, hate the exfoliation factor! I bought a new Christmassy one this year and I too was disappointed by the fabric quality. Nevertheless, it's been added into the rotation of bed linen that we use and it will fall apart before I'm prepared to let it go! So glad you had a lovely Christmas, aren't we all so, lucky to have family that want to be family!
