Friday smile - favourite places

Just a few snaps from the park in Shrewsbury.
It is the Dingle in the Quarry and owes a lot to Percy Thrower who was Head gardener there for years.

It has some lovely sculptures including this metalwork heron.

The memorial garden has a life like ironwork "War horse".

The shrubs and planting look good all year round.
I guess they will soon be getting it ready for the Shrewsbury Flower Show which has this wonderful setting in August.

Have a great weekend and enjoy a few more smiles over on Annie's Friday smile.

x Jo

  3. What a beautiful and idyllic place to visit. I was really impressed with the War Horse, and of course, the simply gorgeous flowers and shrubs. Thanks for taking us with you on this lovely voyage. I enjoyed seeing the park through your eyes (and lens). Have a great weekend, too.

  6. I love the dingle and the flower show. I always went to that when I lived in Oswestry. I think the war horse is new since I was there last. The flowers look beautiful again don´t they. Kate x
