Well here we are, our last WOYWW show and tell before Christmas.
We have had a busy time.
My friend wanted an office chair re-covering for her daughter. So I whipped off the old black fabric and replaced it with fresh pink cotton fabric to match her bedroom. I just needed a bit of help from my hubby to fix it back together.
Then, I had Ben for the day.
He helped to decorate my tree and then decorated his own Christmas cake that I baked for him. He went for a random technique for both but I love them.😀 He loves fruit cake so I am sure he will enjoy it.
Spot the masked gingerbread man that Annie made during COVID and a sparkly snowflake from LLJ.
We have lovely times together and he is becoming quite a personality.
I think I have done most of my Christmas shopping and we are looking forward to the day with our family and a quiet, peaceful time.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and that for you too, it is a happy and peaceful time.
All the best
x x Jo
I have gifts to wrap and some food to buy for when I get back from my brother's but.... almost ready! Ben's tree and cake look great! Wishing you all a really happy family Christmas and happy WOYWW Helen #2
ReplyDeleteLooks like you and Ben had a great time Jo. Love his decorating skills. Stay safe and Merry WOYWW Christmas. Sarah #1
ReplyDeleteSo glad Ben has been brought up to enjoy a good old fruit cake, I can't get over the wedding cakes being all sponge and things like that. Nothing beats a fruit cake on big occasions. Love Ben's decorating.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas, Hugs, Neet 3 xx
Happy WOYWW - and Merry Christmas. I love how you changed the fabric on that chair. So much nicer than the boring black. Christmas Cake is off the menu for me this year, but bought a very small one for hubby (and I bought some decorations this week for it - must remember to actually use them). Ali x #13
ReplyDeleteWow, that chair is amazing, what a fab job you did, you are a lady of many talents and skills!! Loved the Christmas cake too, how fab that Ben loves fruit cake, not all children do. My snowflake is in a prominent position on my tree and is sparkling away, I think you of every time I look at it xxxx
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas, I hope you have a lovely time with the family xx
Hugs LLJ 7 xx
Love the chair. Gorgeous tree, mine still only has lights on! Hopefully granddaughters will decorate it tomorrow.

Beautiful work on that chair. We all love the Pecan fruit cake from Collins Street Bakery in Texas. A long standing tradition of my MOM's..Never have made a fruit cake. Love your tree always love the lights at night. Merry Christmas to You and Yours. May your days be Merry and Bright.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, the chair is amazing - you've done a fabulous job on it. I love the cake and tree, making special memories with Ben - I miss the days when my nephews found decorated trees magical and wanted to take part in cake decorating! I hope you have a lovely Christmas.

Wow! To the chair cover. I have just bought a new chair so I am able to appreciate all the hard work in achieving such a beautiful finish.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Christmas

That chair is amazing. We need to do the opposite, with some ghastly salmon pink folding chairs we bought for £12 each for my Xmas stall. How do you attach the fabric neatly? We love fruit cake, too; Ben’s decorations are great.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Christmas and happy WOYWW
