WOYWW

 Good morning all.

Thank you to everyone who has sent ATCs to us Shropshire gals. Annie and I have had a couple of celebratory get togethers to pass on ATCs sent for both of us - good excuse for a chat and swap -its been so long since we have been able just to pop over to each other whenever we wanted!

I have loved everyone of them and the detail in each little work of art has been a delight.

Here is my collection so far.....

Aren't they all lovely?

Thanks also to Lynn, Angela and Sylvia whose  wonderful little packages have arrived safely. I will take photos and put them in next week's WOYWW.

Thanks to all of you who commented on my little needle-felted ATCs. They were fun to do too and I had forgotten what pleasure I get from a bit of felting. I even got a positive response from the Queen of Felting - Tilly Tea Dance - so they must have been OK!!

My latest twiddler is called  "What did you play with?"

I think I have the arms (or legs) slightly wrong on the roller skater as she appears to be skating in both directions somehow (or is it just me?).

I have yet to make a stitched label on my sewing machine. I thought making a question of the label might stimulate a conversation where possible.

I said I would make as many twiddle mitts as possible during lockdown (since January). To date I have made 73 and I am hoping to have completed 100 by the end of June. Some are simpler than others so take less time but I really enjoy designing and making the themed ones as they are more fun. (Simple pleasures).

If the weather had been a bit better I am sure I would have been out and about more this week. We did manage a Friday lunch out - although it did seem weird being in a room with so many other folk.

We need a bit more sunshine and warmer weather. My garden could certainly do with it to encourage my seedlings etc to grow a bit faster.

I hope you are all able to enjoy a bit more freedom and some may even get away for a little break - well deserved after our enforced hibernation!

Take care all and stay safe.

xx Jo

  2. Well, your roller skater is perfectly positioned with her legs if it is taken from me! My legs would be going in opposite directions until they ended by going upwards as my bottom hit the deck! Love your latest Twiddlemitt. Congratulations on no 73 and here's to the hundredth - hope you don't stop there.
You got some lovely atc's but you also made some beauties. I loved getting your felted one and it seems a shame to put it in aa folder so it might stay out a while yet.
    Thank you so much
    Hugs, Neet 1 xx

  3. Gorgeous ATCS! A lovely display of the happiness that arrived through the postbox, it made me smile! Your felting is awesome, I really loved the ATC and appreciate the work that went into it. Your twiddler are fantastic, well done for making so many, I love the roller skater girl, don't’ worry about the leg, she’s midway through doing a twirl I reckon!

  5. Morning Jo, thank you so much for your gorgeous ATC - it is so beautiful and such a lot of work must have gone into it. It will be going in a little frame for my studio wall as soon as I can organise myself! Your twiddler is another work of art and I'm sure will evoke a lot of memories of childhood and playground games - the hopscotch and marbles have already started me off down memory lane!
Hope you have a good week,
    Diana xx 25

  6. Hello Jo. I was delighted to receive an ATC from you and Annie. Mine are on their way. What a super collection you got. Yours and Annie's are beautiful. That roller skater would be me now! I used to go to a rink in my very young days. The last time I visited was to watch my grandchildren and D'sI.L. skate, in 2019! Anne x 20

  8. You've seriously made 73 Twiddlers, wow! That is amazing - that's at least 3 a week - or one every two days - and they're not 5-minute projects, either! Very impressive - especially that they're all different! Look forward to seeing all the others in the pipeline! Thanks for the swap, Jo - it was fun! Your little felted ATC is just wonderful - makes such a unique addition to my collection! Happy #625 xx zsuzsa #26

  15. Hi Jo, lovely collection of ATCs. 100 twiddlers by June is certainly an accomplishment- what have you got planned for the 100th one? Something special no doubt. The weather has been a bit hit and miss, but so has the government in deciding if my hometown is in local lockdown or not. So confusing! My garden is overflowing with greenery at the moment, lots of veg and flowers shooting up! Thanks for stopping by my blog - I have few pieces of 'lovely packaging' that I need to repurpose. I really wish they would use plain packaging, and drop the price of the actual item! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #17

  18. I loved my ATC Twiggers, I’m sure Annie told you. Your twiddled numbers are amazing and I don’t doubt that you’ll get to a hundred without any probs. Just love the hopscotch, and no I don’t see the skate going both ways, more pretending to be a ballerina in the joy of the movement! My sisters and I used to do lots of roller skate dancing!

Hi Jo, A wonderful collection of ATCs, and I’ve loved your felting ones if I hadn’t been training it from Bris to home prob still wouldn’t have been joining as may super duper hectic, but hoping June is quieter. Now those twiddle mitts are awesome .. the skater simply looks acrobatic to my mind.
