That time has flown by and here we are, all ready to take a sneaky peek at everyone's work desks again.
I've been busy knitting a few more Nurse mates and then I put them on our local FB page. My neighbours have chosen the one they would like and swapped it for a tin (or more) for our local food bank.
A win/win situation. I get to keep busy each evening with a bit of happy knitty fun and they feel good about donating to the food bank. The little children that pass my window, where I display them, love to look at them and count them all!.
I decided to use an idea that seems quite popular at them moment - a little fabric rainbow. I stitched it on to some blue linen and then made a needlecase to keep in the lounge. This replaced a scrap of felt that I had been using to store my big darning needle for stitching up my knitty items!
And lastly just a few flower pics to share with you.
Some lovely tulips that my niece gave me.
And my beautiful clematis tucked beside a fragrant broom bush. Annie gave me the clematis a few years ago - its called Josephine and has gone from strength to strength - I love it!
Well that's it for this week.
I hope you are well and keeping safe.
Have a good week.
xx Jo

Hi Jo! It's been too long but I'm so glad to see you are still sharing on your blog. I have missed seeing your stitched creations. I love the little needle keeper, a great use for some more rainbow love. Best wishes, Lisa-Jane (#23)

ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea with the Nurse mates, they all look so cute lined up like that. The clematis is beautiful and lovely that is shares it's name with you. My friends little boy told me he grew Diana radishes - not quite as glamorous as your clematis!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week

Your clematis is beautiful, no wonder you love it - and the tulips are so pretty and like a rainbow in your home.
ReplyDeleteBut pride of place has to be the little figures, you really are a star - that is a lovely idea of yours. I started getting those Government parcels but stopped them - the tinned goods that came are all in the garage awaiting the first time Chas goes out (which will probably be July 1st when he takes me to the hospital for my pace check) when we will drop them at the food bank. We got them for three weeks so there was a fair amount we can donate. Afraid that is all I can offer at the moment but if I get some more cards done I will drop them at the hospital shop for nurses etc to pick up.

Oh how sweet your window display, a collective of care! Love the donation idea Jo, very thoughtful of you. What a great ‘souvenir’ of these strange times one of these Nurses will make. The Josephine clematis is a beauty, lovely big flowers, I like the fact that it sits like a bush rather than a rather leggy stem before climbing. I’m surprised you don’t see my needle case made by you on my desk more often, its a permanent feature. Actually ‘feature’ cant be right word can it...but it is there, filled with decorative headed pins and useful pointy things; bet your darning and mending needle will be so much easier to locate now that you just have to look for the rainbow!
ReplyDeleteYour little nurses are just adorable, Jo! What a great idea, and doing good with the food bank too. Well done. Gorgeous garden and flower photos too.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
