Tilly Tea Dance stole my table for last week's WOYWW so this week I am determined to get in early...
My photos were taken last night while I listened to the radio as Shrewsbury town won their footie match.
(Hubby and BIL went out in the cold to watch it.)
So here we are...
These are the little patchwork hearts that will be the centre piece to the baby quilt that I am making.
I hope the finished item works - It's all a bit of guesswork - using up fabric from my stash and some of the curtain fabric to match the nursery.
Then...
This is what I have been knitting this week - a little ballet cardi for my friend's grand daughter. It's in 4 ply so it took ages to knit but I think it looks OK.
That's it for this week.
I hope it's not too cold where you are. There is snow on the Shropshire hills but luckily I am in town now and we haven't had any.
Have a great week and lots of fun (Especially the WOYWWers who are getting together in South Wales this week! You know who you are!!)
xx Jo

Oh wow! The pink cardigan looks so fancy! You're a master at this! I love the matching pink fabric of your heart quilt- precious! Patsy
ReplyDeleteMorning Jo. The patchwork loves great - a fun quilt to have on a baby cot. That pink ballet cardigan is lovely. I knitted one once for one of my grandchildren - took me ages too!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

That quilt looks gorgeous. As long as your team wins you don't feel the cold as far as football is concerned lol. Happy WOYWW Sarah #24
ReplyDeletelove your colour choice and quilt design, it's lovely doing the layout and seeing it come together, I'm gonna call in on you when my sons 'produce' to stock up on gifts for mes 'petits enfants' (not sure when that will be tho'? hopefully I will see you both in Llandudno later in the year? dxxx#28
ReplyDeleteWow, your baby quilt is gorgeous! You are sew clever. Snigger! I love the ballet cards, I have fond memories of mine...I hated it because I wanted a 'proper' one from the shop. But of course, not a soul noticed and it lasted longer than my ballet career!
ReplyDeleteLvoing the patchwork hearts, some wonderful colors. Such a cute little Cari too. After today we are on a warm up to the 60's, but 2 wks ago it was in the 70's and then we were hit hard with 12 in of snow. That has been melting, I just want sunshine. Enjoy a fun week Jo.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baby quilt. It will be treasured for years to come. Love the cardi too. Very nice.

I used to love making baby clothes, actually learned to knit with tiny needles and yarn! Love the cardi - very cute! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #40
ReplyDeleteHi Jo. love the patchwork hearts, coming together brilliantly. You are so clever with this stuff! Gorgeous little cardi too. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XXX
ReplyDelete4 ply?? You are a glutton for punishment! I bought some by mistake once - never again, life is just too short. I know the heart quilt will turn out to be gorgeous, you just have the knack!
ReplyDeleteI think the weather is looking good to meet up with Wipso and DH tomorrow, there's lunch and walking on the beach to be done!!
Hugs, LLJ 15 xxx
PS There's a direct train from you down to Pembrey & Burry Port station if you fancied a trip down...hint hin. Or I may well come up the other way to visit you!!
love the baby quilt, we know you can do it! Helen #5
ReplyDeleteI do know who they are and am so envious - they will have such a wonderful time together. Both lovely couples.
ReplyDeleteLove the heart quilt you are making and the little top you have made is wonderful.
Sadly no blue hair this week but it is all change at the end of the month. Lilac streaks apparently - my hairdresser did not have enough time between appointments this week to do it.
Hugs, Neet xxx
ps up Shrewsbury, well done!
Your quilt is gorgeous and looks perfect to me. Don't be nit picking as it's only expert stitchers that criticise.
ReplyDeleteI make mine "good enough" but they don't stand close scrutiny. A quarter inch foot on your sewing machine does help make the seams accurate though.. It's well worth getting one. Your cardi is gorgeous. I think the little ballerinas look so sweet in these.
