WOYWW
Well folks - I have made a start to my my Christmas cards - it still needs a bit doing to it but at least I have something to show on my desk today.
Annie and I watched the footie on tv last night to see Shrewsbury thrash Chelsea and only lose because our brilliant central defender scored an own goal in the last minutes of the game! ( A bit of creative writing there!)
Whilst watching all the big Chelsea stars like Drogba and Oscar being outwitted by our own stars, I even managed to stitch a few buttons on my little Christmas trees.
My other crafty activity of the week can be seen if you follow this link to my FB page.

It's a photo of Ben in his latest outfit.
Maxine wanted a spider suit for Ben to wear to a halloween party so I whipped one up out of an old black skirt and kind aunty Annie even crocheted him a cobweb. Mad as hatters aren't we.
Hope you are all well and loving this mild Autumn weather (though not so for our Scottish friends I think).

Blogger has been playing up this week and I have found it impossible to leave comments on some blogs - so apologies if you are one of them.
Have a great week.

All I will say is Shrewsbury def didn't disgrace themselves did they? Love the card idea and that little spider is just sooooo cute 😃
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Yay for Shrewsbury! Nice to see the big teams brought back down to earth occasionally :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, you are good starting to make those cards...I don't think I'm going to be making mine. Too much to do with other things!
You'll have to show us the finished Halloween suit for Ben next week!

Love that card design!
ReplyDeleteIs footie soccer or football? I love that! And I adore that Christmas tree. I think I could do that in paper because I have a Sizzix framelits die like that--but framelits do not cut fabric. Well I friend requested you on Facebook! (it will be Sandy Johnson) Thanks for your sweet visit! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #45
ReplyDeleteYes, we must see the suit next week.
ReplyDeleteLove the card, great idea.
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x 34
Pretty start to your Christmas cards. Awesome little Spider suit for Ben, he looks so much bigger already. Enjoy fall...turned colder here 38 this AM but no winds, that is always a plus.
ReplyDeleteNot a footie fan, Jo, but that didn't stop me taking in that match - the own goal caught my attention ... your team certainly gave Chelsea a run for their money. Love you Christmas tree, especially the button embellishments. Got to say that it's been more like winter here than autumn recently but today the sun struggled out for a brief time - more rain expected tomorrow :( How lovely to find those beautiful old embroidery transfers. And what a bonus that they still work after all this time. I remember well my mother working on a tablecloth that she began before I was born ... she only ever worked on it when she was pregnant with one of my four siblings so it took her well over 20 years to complete! I think she got most of her transfers with the Pins and Needles magazine - they were a pull out in the centre of each magazine. I've never seen sparkly aida - very pretty but then I don't do cross-stitch any longer - eyesight much too dim these days :) Have a good week. Elizabeth x #53
ReplyDeletePS: Ben is the cutest spider this arachophobic has ever seen :)
That is a great Christmas card and I hope you don't mind is I use the idea. It may have to be in paper!
ReplyDeleteCute outfit lucky kid!

Sorry - don't have live TV so couldn't watch your fave team last night... but glad you managed to sew the buttons on that cute tree - amid the excitement!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

I was cheering for them too.. my own team (Liverpool) had to come from a goal down to snatch a winner late on, (glad we did that, I was so tired and needed to go to bed!!) Love the tree on your card - it's gorgeous! Helen 2
