I hope you have been managing to dodge the heavy Spring showers - we have certainly had lots of them over the last week but the sunshine in between has also been lovely.
My table is quite tidy this week as I have been busy with other things and knitting in the evenings. I will post some of my knitties on Friday.
So - on my table is one of the pretty little vintage embroidered table cloths I found at the car boot and a jolly little tin that had the buttons in that you can see below. I just love a button tin don't you?
The little pink purse is bursting with ATCs ready for the 5th WOYWW anniversary. Let me know if you would like to swap. I think Annie and I will post ours together to save postage.

Thanks to all who left me a comment re sunflowers v poppies - Maxine was amazed at how many loved her sunflower picture! She now thinks she will make another one for her exhibition.

Those are awesome buttons. I'm like Annie. Not only do I want to play with them, I want to run my hands through them. I always like how buttons, especially the older ones, feel and sound when they are jostled.

ReplyDeleteFab buttons Jo, and that tablecloth is so pretty. I treasure the ones my auntie used to embroider, especially as she was really a knitter. I still have a coat she made me (knitting) which must be 50 years ago now.

Button tins are always important memories for children through the generations. My grandmother kept hers in a drawer of her Singer Treadle machine table, and was a real treat to play with. I am still in the middle of doing the ATCs I intend to finish and I would love to swap with you and Annie. I don't blame you for trying to cut down on postage, a very sensible thing to do. xx Maggie #20
