WOYWW

Just a quick post today as I will be dashing to Maxine's to await a delivery van.
I am afraid my table is just a bit of a mess.
I have been decorating the kitchen this week so there hasn't been much time for crafty fun!...

I managed to finish Maxine's dress and then I found enough wool to knit another little cardi.

The tall cones of thread are my latest car boot bargain.
I bought them for Annie but she has more than enough so I will probably put them on ebay.
It is blind hemmer thread - 20,000 metres!

Now - a little request - please go over to Annie's blog "A stitch in time".
She needs your love and positive vibes to perk her up - why is house selling so problematic in this country?

Thanks lots
Have a good week.

x Jo

  3. Hello Jo. Hmmm decorating the kitchen. DH has been working on that for a while! We still not finished :-) Poor Annie- we too had similar problems when we moved here. It happens in the end but a nightmare I agree. Anne x # 28

  4. Oh that floral fabric is lovely - a breath of summer on this grey and wet morning! Poor Annie, I hope everything works out for her. We too had a nightmare buying / selling our house, so much so that we vowed never to move again!
    Happy WOYWW!

  6. Wow, that Cardi is just so precious. The little one will love it! That is some large amount of thread, I don't sew (not even a button, as I am all thumbs!). I am heading over now to visit Annie and spread the WOYWW around..Winnie#71

  8. Oh Jo I feel for you decorating your kitchen. I'm cheating as I have a painter in doing my artwork for me at the moment.
Gorgeous little cardi and that colour is so delicate ;D
I'll certainly nip over to Annie.

  10. Hi Jo. Erm - am I missing something here? I don't see a mess 0- I only see some lovely handmade items, some thread, and some bits... Well done for being so industrious this week - wish I felt I had been - but there you go.
Thanks for popping over. Glad you like that amazing green fabric - it's not too difficult to sew - it's a really cheap satin to make a mock up of the wedding dress. Still not quite satisfied I've got it right, so "if at first...."
A vintage china washing up project??? Which bit was vintage - the china or the washing up? :-)
    Sounds busy, whichever way round.
Have a great week - Yes, I've already popped over to Annie - it does seem we can't manage to sell and buy without chaos down here doesn't it?!

And I must start some knitting as it's heading towards winter now!
