WOYWW

Last week's reminder from our lovely WOYWW host, Julia, that this year we would be celebrating 5 years of WOYWW friendship, set me thinking about my celebration ATC design.

So my desk today has some of the ideas I was working on and my machine set up in "free-machine" mode. I have hidden all the little finished ones that I am happy to swap or pass on when the time comes. They are sitting pretty in that little peachy purse.

The sun has been shining for about 4 days now - bliss!
The birds are singing and pairing up.
I know its not a good photo, but if you look closely on my nyger seed feeder you will see a pair of Redpols! I love spotting an unusual visitor to my garden.
The male has a dusky pink front and they both have little red caps.

I hope the weather is just as lovely for you.
Enjoy it if you can.

Now, I wonder just how many ATCs I need to make this year....

Have a good week.
Thanks for calling by.
x Jo

  3. Lovely weather here as well Jo but no Redpolls in my garden. We do have the occasional group of longtailed tits and the bog standard wood pigeon.
Good for you getting ATC organised, I always leave it to the last minute.

  4. I get loads of goldfinches on our Niger seeds, but no redpolls. Pretty birds aren't they? You look as if you have a lot of lawn to mow and the grass is already shooting up!
Well done you for being so organised with the ATCs...I haven't even thought about mine yet!

  6. Isn't it great to have this lovely weather! Makes one want to get things done so I a off to tidy up my craft room once more.
Love the picture of the birds, but I have never even heard of them, wish I had more species in my garden.

  7. I've never heard of redpolls! We get goldfinches on the nyger seed but that's all - the number of birds visiting seems to have declined over the years. Love the look of your ATC on the sewing machine - you seem very organised!

  11. I was hoping to start my ATCs, but life got in the way. So glad you have so many made already.

Spring sort of appeared yesterday, but now we're back to cold and high winds. Love your GREEN grass and bird feeder. Happy WOYWW from #7.

  15. You are so organised ... I haven't made any decision about the design and the number of ATCs to make but will have to get a wriggle on soon. Love your photo ... I don't believe I have ever seen a redpol - maybe I should get some nyger seed to attract them. But I am enjoying watching our garden birds' nest making activities, from the sparrows gathering dried grass to the magpie breaking twigs from our shrubs - all very entertaining :) Thanks for your earlier visit and comment. Hugs, Elizabeth x #75

PS: love the little owl buttons on the tiny cardi in your previous post.

  18. Hi Jo, thanks for your visit...it seems there's few bird lovers in the group...I think we've had some new one too as the season changes to autumn and there's berries on a morton bay fig tree...not sure what ours are though. We have friendly kookaburras and magpies most days on our balcony and we hand feed them. I'm new to the birthday ATCs so will have to find out more info so I can join in. Cheers and have a lovely week RobynO#24

  21. Oh love your little take on the ATC's..hope I can swap with you. Great outdoor photos too. Lots of geese flying over head and 100's of birds all around. Cats are shedding!! I'm out of here as today is to be over 50 and I need to browse. Have a fun weekend. #9

  22. For some strange reason, the birds have ignored the nyger seed feeders this year in favour of the sunflower hearts and the fat feeders. I now have to empty them out and clean them, wasting almost full feeders worth of food. I have never seen redpolls in our area, so you are really lucky. You are well ahead on the ATC front. I have not even thought about that project yet. Panic. I need to put more plants in the garden first. Have a good week with your machine. xx Maggie #85

  26. Hi Jo,

I like the looks of the ATC on your sewing machine! Very cool.

Birds have started coming around my place too. I've seen woodpeckers and of course, the ever present ravens. I put out some old cornbread last week and they loved it.

Sorry I'm late to getting around. I honestly thought I'd have time on Wednesday to make it to everyone. Oh well.

    Thanks for the visit earlier.
    Happy belated WOYWW
    Peace, Kay (23)
