Well here we are again - where did last week go?
This what I was up to on fun day Monday down at Annies.
We are busy making quilts for the Lillybo quilt project.
Now you all know how we love to sew but can you believe, neither of us have ever made a proper quilt before?
So - after a lot of plotting, planning and decision making we sorted out our fabric stash.
Then we added a little more to it at the fabric sale on Saturday.
On Monday I spent the day joining little squares together. I know now why I haven't made one before!!
It is looking really good and I am enjoying it but it is slow going.
And here is my table today with all sorts of bits and bobs quilt related.
And at the front of the photo is a tiny box with a new little friend peeking out - I will show you more on my Friday post so pop back!
OK - short and sweet - I am going to pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and see what everyone else is up to today.

Finished by Friday and smile!
Here is my latest finished item.
I have all sorts of little projects on the go but this draught excluder is the only thing completed this week.
It is made with a variety of furnishing fabric and embellished with vintage buttons and hand embroidery.
It is in shades of grey with a plummy pink mix of fabrics. It is filled with polyester filling so that it is light to post but also it squishes nicely into a doorway to keep out the winter draughts!
I will pop it in our Sisters Crafty Creations blog shop later.
Now the weather forecast says more snow followed by heavy rain, snow melt and FLOODS!
So I thought you might like to see how I aim to be prepared for that possibility.....
If you would like similar adaptations let me know - it didn't hurt - honest! lol.

Happy Friday!

WOYWW - dolly bags!
Good morning all!!
Well today you can enjoy a tidy table with my little scrapbox dollies and the lucky few who have been chosen to go in my new bags.
I decided to use up some of my felted wool jumpers to make little girls' bags with a tiny pocket on the side - just big enough to hold one of my dollies.
The rest of the dollies are waiting patiently in their basket.
Here are some close-ups.
Cute!
I will pop them in our blog shop - Sisters Crafty Creations - if I manage to sell them, I shall buy some nice fleecy fabric to back the quilt I am going to make for the scheme Jo has set up Lillybo Quilts. A lovely idea and one I am sure Annie and I will enjoy supporting.
Have a good week.
Join in our blog hop with Julia in her Stamping Ground they are such a great bunch.

Finished by Friday and smile!
Good morning all - a snowy blizzardy day here but OK as I am inside looking out!!
Just a couple of things to share today.
Above is the needle felted picture that I made on fun day Monday.
It is hand "dumfed" and then embellished with hand embroidery and beads.
It has a sort of Monet feel to it, I think.
I am putting it on the Valentine shelf in our Sisters Crafty Creations blog shop.
Follow this link if you want to join in!
I thought my little woolly owl, enjoying a bit of fresh air in his snowy fir tree, might raise a smile this morning.
I won't tell you what my hubby said as I dashed out in a blizzard to take a pic!!!
Have a great day and a fun - if snowy - weekend!!

WOYWW
Good morning all!
It's been a bit chilly over here on the Welsh border but as yet, not much snow.
My table is covered with woolly bits and bobs today. I am going to make some funky bags and I am using some re-cycled felted wool and some furnishing fabric. I will show and tell once I get going with them.
On the left is a tote bag that I made from furnishing velvet. The gorgeous little brooch was a gift from our blogging buddy in the Phillipines - Patsy of Create with Joy and everyone who sees it comments on it.
The cute little dollies are a couple of my sock dolls who are lounging round waiting for me to take their picture so that they can go back in the shop.
I took them out into the garden for their snaps......
This one is Dotty..
I think Dotty might have a curly hair-do before she goes back in the shop.
And this one is Tottie.....
She looks cosy in her woolly outfit with her hat, scarf and little shoulder bag.
Lastly, here is my little orchid that for no apparent reason throws out these gorgeous little blooms occasionally. Isn't it pretty - and blue sky behind too!
Have a great week.
It is always lovely to have so many folks popping in to see what I have been up to.
Don't forget to checkout the bargains and the Valentine's shelf in our Sisters Crafty Creations shop.

Fun day Monday!
Wipso ( Annie - the much younger sister) and I had another giggly "fun day Monday" today.
We were both busy dumfing (you know - needle-felting!).
Annie was making lovely little creations with her machine whilst I worked at a rather more leisurely speed with my little Clover hand dumfer.
We will show you the results later in the week I think.
I just wanted to say.....
The Valentine's Day shelf laden with pretty goodies is open in the shop - Sisters Crafty Creations - so pop over and see what we have made so far. Email me if you are interested in anything.
Thanks for calling by.

Finished by Friday -10
Welcome to "Finished by Friday".
At the end of the year I looked back through my diary where I listed all the things that I had made in 2012.
I was going to list them for you but I didn't want you to get bored!!!
Suffice it to say.... I had a busy year. Most of the things I made were given as gifts - knitted shrugs and hoodies, tiny frocks and slippers, dressing up outfits etc. I made loads of "dumfed" pictures and collages - some went as Christmas gifts and I sold a few.
The items that I sold helped pay for postage for the 400+ dresses Annie and I made for the "Dress a girl around the world" scheme. I still have a few left to post to Louise at Sew Scrumptious - the total she has sent off to Africa is over 2000 now!!!
So this week I have been focusing on Valentine's Day and I have made a few items for the blog shop.
We have a January sale over there at the moment so check it out if you would like to pick up a bargain!!
These are my offerings for this week...
I made fabric covers for a Windsor & Newton A6 Heavyweight case bound sketch book.
This one has a white felt cover with a pretty little embellished front.
I love the random combination of lace, beads, buttons and hand stitching
This one has a red velour cover embellished with linen, silk and lace bits and bobs.
The little linen zip pouches have pretty little hearts to match the print fabric lining.
I think they will make lovely little Valentine's goodie bags.
They will be in the blog shop after Monday so look out for our new Valentine's shelf.
Thanks for popping in to have a look at my "makes" and thanks for all your lovely comments.
See you next week.

WOYWW - January sale!
EARLY WARNING!!
These pretty little sets are a bargain!
They have been sitting patiently on our crafters' shelf in our Sisters Crafty Creations blog shop.
Annie and I had a fun day Monday morning re-vamping all the shelves.
We have a had a good sort out and decided to have a January sale.
So we thought our WOYWW friends should have an early chance to pick up a bargain.
There are 3 pretty sets like these - selling for £3 (Originally £9)
Also we have filled four pretty tote bags with useful crafter's accessories - pen rolls, desk tidies etc.
Each bag is selling for £10 (They each have about £40 worth of bits and bobs inside!!)
AND there are lots more lovely hand crafted items at reduced prices...........
if you want a few bargains then follow the link to Sisters Crafty Creations blog shop.
My table is piled high with fabric today.
I am busy with a couple of draught excluders and some pretty Valentine's zip pouch goodie bags.
It was such a wet gloomy Tuesday - a perfect day for crafting cosily in my sewing room.
I think Annie and I will create a Valentine's shelf in the shop so keep a look out for my finished items.
And lastly.....
These little primroses are bursting into bloom in my back garden.
A reminder - if a bit premature - that Spring is just around the corner!!
Happy Wednesday everyone.
Follow me over to Julia's Stamping Ground and join our happy blog hop!

Finished by Friday - draught stopper!
I call them draught excluders others say draught stopper and some even spell it draft!
Whatever it is - it is a handy item for helping to keep out the cold!
This one is extra wide and made for a special friend's Nan. It is about 114cms - I usually make them about 90cm. It is tailor-made to fit her doorway and to match with her carpet and curtains.
I hope she likes it. I had fun choosing buttons and hand embroidering the decoration.
If you want to see others that we have made - there is a gorgeous black and shades of grey one in our blog shop...
Sisters Crafty Creations
or you can see the one Maxine and I made on New Year's Day here.
Two more are on eBay at the mo...
Burnt orange/beige
Warm reds/cream
If you would like one tailor-made to suit your needs - just email me!
Thanks for calling by.

WOYWW - Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone!
I hope it is a healthy and prosperous one for you all.
We had a quiet New Year's Eve and then today hubby went off to watch Shrewsbury Town win for a change and Maxine and I had a fab crafty day together.
Here she is at the dining room table - she needs to spread out when she is crafting!
We are busy making another draught excluder.
She chose the colour scheme and then we worked together so that I could show her how to do the feather stitch and fly stitch hand embroidery.
The end result was gorgeous - the photo doesn't really do it justice - it was too dark and gloomy to do a proper job. She took it home to show everyone but I guess it will go in the blog shop or on ebay sometime soon.
My earlier crafty days were spent making dressing up outfits for Annie's daughter in law to be.
She needs them for the new school term so I quickly ran up a princess dress, jesters outfit and knights tabard. I think the children will have fun with these!
That's it for today folks.
I hope I can get around to see a few desks this week - I don't know where last week went.
