WOYWW - Happy Halloween!

Blogger is playing up this week!
I have tried to write this post several times and it just isn't happy!!!

Happy Halloween!
I thought this little spooky pumpkin face was perfectly carved by Maxine's fiancee so I am sharing it with you all!
Scary too isn't it!!

My work table is a bit cluttered today - mainly because I tidied out a few of my craft project boxes and found 4 pairs of pink snips, 3 pairs of scissors and my pinking shears. Tools of my job which I can't do without but which seem to hide from me occasionally!
Also I exposed my little sewing/knitting aid which lots of you mentioned last week. I think I picked it up at the car boot sale and haven't used it yet but it seems a handy little item.
The box in the front is full of dolly bits that need putting together to finish off my batch of little dollies.

Now below is a lovely tidy rainbow coloured drawerful of threads. These are the sets of 3 that I need for my overlocker. Doesn't it look neat - it won't stay like that for long.

The next pic is of utmost importance - I can now expose my sister's little weakness. She is now a member of the I B P society.

I can't imagine why she needs a cover for the cover on her ironing board! Do you think she only brings it out when I am there with my Bondaweb on a Monday?!!

OK folks - if you want to see the crafty items that I made last week then scroll down to the post below.
If you want to see the little frocks and slippers I have made this week then pop back on Friday to see my "Finished by Friday 3" post. I have had lots of crafty fun this week.

So - let's go and see what  our blog buddy Julia has been up to and then we can take a spin round all the other WOYWW desks and have a good snoop!
Have a great week
x Jo

  1. Great desk with all these sewing stuff. I haven't taken my sewing machine since july this year. Do I hear 'someone' screaming please take me out of the box? Love all the different colours yarn in your box. And yes your box looks very neat - a new challenge? Happy crafting on this halloween day. Love your pumpkin.

  2. Your desk screams of a lot of work going on even if it is only tidying. It's amazing what you find isn't it. I'm on with mine this afternoon, after I've tidied my office desk.

  6. That's funny....my little pink snips go missing often too [any of those got black ribbon on?] :-)......I have a feeling not everyone will appreciate the humour of the IBP society Jo and yes of course it only comes out on a Monday!! :-) :-) :-)

  7. I love those little dolls in your previous post - perfect.
Maybe ironing boards are becoming an endangered species, I know I sometimes wish mine would disappear completely.

  8. The Ironing Board Protection is so funny! I think mines actually protected by a layer of dust, lol.Thats my excuse anyway. I had so much trouble with Blogger playing up over the last few months that I switched to using Livewriter. I would spend ages, literally, trying to up an image only for it to keep disappearing.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #90

  9. Oh dear I have a feeling the IBP may be needed around here too! My ironing board gets used for a whole host of things, but rarely actual ironing unless I have a sewing project on the go! Loving the little dollies in the previous post too xx

  11. Haha, I like the protective cover for the protective cover.... maybe she should play it safe and stick another one on top of the second??

LOVE your pumpkin... mine was a total disaster and I have kept quiet about it being Halloween today... maybe we'll make some bats later on if the baby will let us!

    Happy Wednesday! Chloe 106 x

  15. The pattern and instructions arrived today...thank you SO much for what must have taken you ages to do for me! I really appreciate the instructions in particular, not being quite so able as you!! I will be having a go next week when I have a little more time..but I am really grateful to you, Jo...thank you soooo much.
Sending love and a great big hug!

  16. Amazing what you discover when you have a bit of a tidy up. Love the rainbow of threads. Stay away from Annie or you might catch her lurgy. No need for an IBP here, it rarely gets an outing although the urge seems to be getting stronger since hubby passed away - gives me something different to do occasionally.

  22. Ha, my ironing board doesn't need extra protection - it's pretty safe from me! Love all your colour coded threads - I do that with everything as well. TFS Happy WOYWW Cindy #66

  27. I have to agree the ironing board protection is a little over the top but my Mom used to use an old sheet on the board when she ironed certain things but I can't remember what now! Love all your projects this past week. You have been very busy! Thanks for sharing and dropping by my blog! Have a great week! Vickie #37

  30. Wow. You have been busy. I love the little dollies and the twins slippers in the previous post.
That's quite a collection of cutting tools but i can see they are very important for you. the secret is to put ach one somewhere different, then when you are hunting for them you will probably come across one pair!

  31. You've inspired me to create tags for tools that will whistle when you call them. I'm going to be rich, rich I tell you! It is a problem, but one we all have to live with. I keep losing my rulers.

Thank you so much for stopping by and being so lovely. I can't tell you how much your support and interest in my project means to me.

    Happy WOYWW,

  33. Oh I bet that pumpkin scared a few trick or treat’ers on Wednesday JO, is really fab!

Glad to hear you’ve had a good old tidy up. It’s quite satisfying when you unearth long lost items isn’t it.

    Happy Crafting!

  35. Oooh! Do not show my mom the ironing board cover for the cover... she'll insist she needs one. She has covers for the stove burner covers....

In middle school I had a friend whose house was scary--plastic runners on all the walkways, thick heavy curtains never opened, plastic sheeting on the sofa and chairs, and plastic around the lamp shades. WHAT THE....?!??!??!!! I'll bet there was a cover, for her cover of her cover protector. Oh my gosh.

Love the organized trays and the rainbow of thread. Doesn't it always look so good nicely tidied? And doesn't it always never last??! Ah.... that's how it goes.

  36. Wow Jo, fantastic little dolls all finished and all those cute dresses on Fridy plus those super cute sleepers, gorgeous. Love the messy desk :-) and the IBP is amazing. My ironing board is a over sized one that non of the covers fit, I have to use clamps to keep the covers part on!!!! Love the rainbow threads, yummy, I have a few of the same colours, they came in a pack together (think from argos) and you got two of each, but they have some gorgeous colours. Hope you have another fantastic crafty week. Happy Woyww :-) Kerry xxx

  37. LOL - IBP Society..... well, I suppose ironing boards ARE an endangered species in the crafting habitat!

I don't know if this will help, but I have my scissors on cup hooks by my crafting area - it usually helps!

    Thanks for stopping by...
