WOYWW - 401

 Better late than never!
I seem to have been AWOL for a week or so.
Today I had to take a 100 mile round trip to see a consultant about my face!! So, yet again, I am a bit late getting round to my WOYWW posting. ( Nothing serious - just an op to remove a blip - I only have to wait 4 months for the op!)

Here's what I have been up to on my sewing desk this week.

As World Book Week approaches I decided I would make a Katie Morag style Aran jumper and a little tartan dressing up skirt. They seem popular for little ones and I usually donate my profit to a charity so it's a win/win situation. The Katie Morag stories by Mairi Hedderwick are used in school and she even had a tv programme created around her character. I have also made several little Katie sock dolls and I know she is loved by lots of children. See her here on my blog - http://twiglet5.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/katie-morag-sock-doll.html

Below, I have been knitting for a new baby in our family. One of our favourite cousins has just become a grandad so, this little cardi is for his beautiful little grand daughter.

That's it for this week - apart from wishing all our blogging buddies our very best wishes - if you need an extra hug from us all this week then here it is!

Have a great week.
Thanks for calling by and leaving your lovely comments.

x Jo

  4. Brilliant crafting as usual! I love the Katie Morag outfit, bet they fly off the shelves again this year :-D. The little knit cardi is very sweet too, Have you done a twisted rib or something for the welt? It looks different and I was trying to work out what you'd done. Hope you are ok and the little blip is sorted swiftly :-D
