WOYWW - last one for 2015!

Here's my little festive snowman to greet you today!
I put him on a place mat for my little dinner guest and now he will be packed away till next year.
We had a lovely Christmas day with our little family.
I spent the morning juggling pots, pans and recipes and I think Mary Berry would have been proud of my efforts! We have just finished the last of the turkey in soup today so that's that for another year too.
Unfortunately little sis, Annie, has been poorly over Christmas and told me to keep away from her germs so I have had to do as I was told. No doubt we will make up for it when she is better in the New Year.
Get well soon Annie!

Below are two of the little gifts that she made for me.
A non-slip rest for my sewing machine foot and a lovely Christmas heart for my tree.
She is a clever thing isn't she - thanks Annie.

And lastly, my little Bobble hat knitted for me by Roz from "Bobble and Squeak".
I love the colour combo in the gorgeously cosy wool.
The pompom just finishes it off beautifully - so "on trend", I think.
If you want one, just follow the link....

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and I just want to wish you all a very happy New Year.
Thanks for all your WOYWW friendship and fun - long may it last!

Best wishes
x Jo

  2. Sweet little snowman, and great homemade gifts. I always treasure the homemade love. I won't pack up Christmas for a few weeks, love the twinkling lights and it all seems to make January go so much faster. Snow arrived in full force on the 24th so there was lots of bad traveled roads. Our leftovers are pretty much gone Traditional here ham, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, cranberries, relish and a couple of veggies. Desert French Silk Pie this year.
Happiest of New Years to you and yours. So much always enjoy your blog.

  11. I love the snowman - what a great place mat for a little visitor! And what a great idea that non slip mat is for the sewing machine foot - I often end up twisted half under the table trying to press the foot with my toes as it slides further away from me on the laminate flooring! Clever sister of yours!
Thanks so much for stopping by my desk, have a Happy New Year,

  16. Lovely photos, Jo. What great gifts you crafty pair. Sorry you have had to avoid Annie, Though. Hope you can soon get together for a good gossip and catch up.
Thanks for your visit and your thoughts. We have had a tremendous family Christmas - it has been very precious - John keeps saying how much he has enjoyed the mayhem as it was a Christmas he didn't think he would see. We just take a day at a time - and enjoy each one.
    Take care. God bless.

  23. Love the hand made gifts best this year! I need to get one of the anti slip foot pedal things. IF I sew where I am suppose to the carpet keeps it in place if I sew in the kitchen where it is warmer it is sliding all over the place. Hope you have a great holiday! Happy New Year! Vickie #46
