Good morning all.
Proud mum moment here this week
We spent Saturday at the Shrewsbury Flaxmill Yarnies event held in the old dye room.
It was a super day. The room was filled with beautiful dyed yarns and fibres.
Tilly was invited by the organizers to show her work and of course demonstrate her craft.
We met lots of lovely folk, many were interested to find out about her workshops too.
She sold quite a lot of her artwork, cards etc so she was thrilled. It was a great opportunity to share a quality day together.
This week I am putting together workshop packs and having a couple of days out and about.
Lastly, I know you will all be feeling sad at the loss of a treasured member of our group. Neet was a lovely lady, so thoughtful, caring and such a creative artist. We loved meeting up with her and Chas at our crafty get togethers. She will be sadly missed by us all.
Here is a little selection of Neet's ATC characters that she sent me over the years. All very quirky and very Neet. The card in the middle is the one that I had written and was ready to post to her on the day we heard the sad news. RIP dear lady.

Glad you and Tilly had such a good day on Saturday and she had good sales! It was so sad to hear the news about Neet last week, she will indeed be greatly missed. Hugs, Helen #1

ReplyDeleteOh my just went down a rabbit hole looking to see if I have any ATCs from Neet but sadly no. Thanks for sharing yours. Super stall too, so glad she did well, proud mum indeed. Hugs BJ#11
ReplyDeleteHow special that you have such a beautiful collection of Neet's ATC's. Shalom!
ReplyDeleteA whole day to be with your baby gal! And to see her success in action, no wonder you’re proud, it’s all a bit marvellous! Pretty sure that Tilly credits you in her success too, as a Mum, it’s just a genuine labour of love isn’t it. Lovely that you’ve pictured art by Neet, and you’re right..treasured . Xxxx
ReplyDeleteLooks like you both had a great day Jo. Thanks for sharing the photos. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a very successful weekend for you both. I'm glad things went really well. It is a shame though that some people would try and make money out of all the hard work that Tilly does, for their own benefit. Life can be unfair at times.
ReplyDeleteI'm sad to hear about Neet but she will be remembered fondly by those who knew her and appreciated her creative talents.
Enjoyed catching up with you over the last couple of months and enjoying your posts. Take care x
