Good morning all.
This is where we were just over a week ago. We were walking around York city walls. It's my favourite city. The sun was shining and the sky was blue and I had Sarah on my mind as we neared the Minster. It has been heart warming to read all the wonderful comments and tributes to our dear friend.
This week I think we have all been trying to keep busy and not waste a moment. I know Annie and I have.
I used some pretty fabric to make some gift labels and then trimmed a gift bag to match.I've spent a lot of time on prep for Tilly.
I made these fibre packs ..
It's always rewarding to see what her students do with the work packs. Take a look here to see the artwork her year 11 students produced this week. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1J2odT2f76/
So that's me for this week
I'm so grateful to Julia for picking up the lead and keeping us all on track. It means a lot that we can keep going and maintain the friendship we have built over the years. Thanks lots Julia. You are a star?๐คฉ

It was indeed heartwarming to read all the tributes to Sarah. She will never be forgotten. I love the photo of York - a truly beautiful city and the walk round the walls is a great one. Your labels and gift bag are beautiful. Happy WOYWW Helen #1

I love your pretty tags and bag - they are so pretty, and those colourful bags of felting wool just make me want to pick up my felting equipement and get stuck in - they look so tempting! I love York, it's such a wonderful city and it looks like you had perfect weather too.

You’re right, being busy has helped. As I always do, I swoon at the colours in the fibre packs you make up for Tilly. I’ve been to York but once and enjoyed every minute, I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed some time in your fave city.
ReplyDeleteHappy post-knitting WOYWW catch-up
ReplyDeleteBusy indeed! And those results from Tilly's class are amazing. WOW. I'd have loved doing that when I was in school. Hpw times have changed. York looks fab - it's been too long since we visited.

Beautiful work as always and wonderful results from those classes! I really must get to York again, everyone is always saying how lovely it is. We did go in the late seventies but I don't recall much from that weekend except a hangover and watching the Muppets for the first time! Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx
